In a previous post, I wrote about the importance of developing a child's fine motor skills and strengthening the hands.  Click here to read it.

One of the activities that's fantastic for this is play dough.

So I thought I would put together some fall play dough mats for families who are looking for new play dough activity ideas.

You can download them all by clicking here.

Included in the download are 5 pages, each with the outline of a fall object.

To use the mats, show your child how to roll the play dough into long, thin strips.

Then use the strips to trace the outline of the shape.

You can laminate the pages so they last longer or just use them once printed.

If you're looking for a more creative, open-ended way to use play dough, you can also download the pumpkin gluing activity found here.

Instead of the cut out shapes, use playdough to make different jack-o-lantern faces.
