The founders of Yoto Play met while working in the digital music world. They spent time discussing the challenges of modern parenting - the effects of screen time on young children and how this can disrupt sleep.

They were also fascinated by the teachings of Maria Montessori.

Montessori's emphasis on independence and the use of physical objects in learning and play, helped to inspire the creation of Yoto Player. They wanted to give their kids easy access to music and other audio content. 

They came up with the idea of a connected, screen-free audio device that kids could control independently using physical smartcards.

Their primary goal - to help parents inspire creativity and imagination in children through audio and keeping children away from screens.

Yoto products are meant to grow with your child. Each product goes through regular performance testing and quality inspections to make sure they have the longevity and quality required to last a long time. They also undergo rigorous third-party testing to the highest global safety standards.

Yoto products are suitable for use by kids aged 3 and up. Children under 3 years should only use Yoto products under adult supervision. It is recommended that only adults use the charger, which should be kept out of reach of children at all times.
