5. The Canadian Montessori Teacher Education Institute (CMTEI)

The Canadian Montessori Teacher Education Institute (CMTEI) was funded in 1989, 36 years ago, by Dr. Daniel Jutras who opened the first Montessori school in Québec in 1987 after his AMI Montessori training in Perugia, Italy.  His Trainer was trained herself by Dr. Maria Montessori. Daniel has trained around 3,000 Teacher candidates, in Québec, in Ontario, USA, Vietnam, Poland, Nigeria and Sri Lanka.

CMTEI has all its in-person programs MACTE accredited in five geographic locations (Markham, Toronto East-York, Mississauga, Montréal-West and Montréal-East and Ottawa) plus all its Online/hybrid program, also MACTE accredited (Infant & Toddler, Early Childhood and Elementary).
