Shipping Policy

FREE Shipping to any province in Canada on all orders over $149 (subtotal)*. All orders ship from Toronto, Canada.

Just choose regular shipping when you check out for free shipping.

Shipping rates (regular shipping is free on orders over $149; the options below are available on any order):

• Same Day Delivery - Available Monday to Friday to the postal codes listed here for $10-$15, depending on your distance from our shop. The rate will be displayed at checkout. Orders must be placed by 12pm EST to receive same day delivery. 
• Local delivery (1-3 business days) - Available to the postal codes listed here for a flat rate of $6.85.
• ONTARIO - Regular courier shipping (Purolator, UPS, and Canada Post) - Available for all orders within Ontario for $11.95 flat rate**
• PROVINCES OUTSIDE ONTARIO - Regular courier shipping (Purolator, UPS, and Canada Post) - Available for all orders outside Ontario for $16.95 flat rate**
  

The subtotal is calculated after discounts. The purchase of gift cards is not included in the calculation for free shipping.

*Our Classroom Furniture Collection is not included in this free shipping offer. For the Classroom Furniture Collection, the shipping cost will be approximately 10% of your order total. Please add the item to your cart for an accurate shipping price or contact us for more info at contact@themontessoriroom.com.

**Please note that some remote, rural, and hard-to-reach areas, may be charged an additional shipping fee. We will contact you before shipping to confirm that you would still like to proceed with your order and are ok to cover the additional charges. We do everything we can to avoid these fees, but the cost of shipping to certain areas in Canada is so high that we would lose money shipping without one.

Also note that we can ship to Nunavut, the Northwest Territories, or the Yukon Territory, but we can't offer free shipping due to the higher cost of shipping to those locations. If you would like to ship an item to these regions, email us at contact@themontessoriroom.com for a shipping quote. 

We're sorry but we cannot currently ship outside of Canada.

Order Processing

Almost all orders that do not include school furniture are processed within 2-4 business days. During times when we have very high order volumes, please allow up to 10 business days for order processing.

Returns, Cancellations, Unable to Deliver or Refusal

We cannot cancel an order once it has been shipped. If you need to return your order after it has already shipped, you will need to wait until the item arrives at your shipping address and then pay to ship the item back. 

If a package is refused or is unable to be delivered and is returned by the shipper, the customer is liable for all round-trip shipping and handling fees incurred, and some restocking fees may apply. 

Delays out of our control are also not eligible for cancellations, refusal, and refunds. 

Lost or Stolen Packages

All orders over $300 subtotal will be shipped with "Signature Required on Delivery" to ensure they are not at risk of porch theft. 

Please note that if an order is reported lost or stolen, we will work with you to locate the package. We cannot offer a refund under any circumstances for lost or stolen packages. We can offer a replacement if the courier has completed an investigation and determined the package is lost.

FREE Local Pickup in East Toronto

You can pickup for free in Toronto at 2229 Danforth Ave. The nearest intersection is Danforth and Woodbine. All you have to do is select this option at checkout.

Please note that delivery dates are based on delivery to urban centres and normal delivery conditions. If you live in a rural/remote area, delivery may take longer. 

Delivery dates are not guaranteed. Delivery times may be impacted by causes beyond our control, including, but not limited to, weather, epidemics, labour disruptions, equipment failures or unanticipated surges in volume.
