For Canadians - Checkout Gather Montessori - Parent-Child Playgroups

I met a wonderful group of Montessorians at a recent conference.

Kate Millie and the Gather Montessori group are such an amazing resource for parents of young children that I wanted to share some of their programs.

And they’re doing something I’ve always wanted to do - they run Montessori Parent-Child Playgroups!

You can check out their programs below. If you live near one of their playgroups, I highly recommend signing up.

1. Gather Parents - Parent-Child Playgroups - These are welcoming spaces for children ages 2-18 months to explore and play while parents learn about Montessori principles and connect.

Over eight weeks, parents build community and receive support from a facilitator in applying Montessori at home.

2. Parent Preparation Course - introduces expecting parents to Montessori principles from the very start.

3. Gather Guides [meant for educators] - offers courses, consultations, workshops and speaking engagements to help Montessori schools bring Montessori to their communities and community organizations integrate Montessori principles into their programs.

4. Gather Seniors (another amazing program!) - integrates Montessori principles with gerontological expertise to promote dignified, purposeful living for seniors.
