Children are naturally curious. They want to be independent and they want to figure about how the world works.

There's no need to force them to learn - drilling them with flashcards or constantly quizzing them.

They want to learn... just at their own pace.

So when you're trying to teach them information or valuable skills - everything from scissor skills to wiping their bottom to math and reading - it'll be MUCH easier if you follow their lead.

You can do this by observing your child, learning what they're interested in and preparing activities that will be engaging and meaningful to them.

When you do this, you can teach them a variety of skills AND get them interested in learning new skills they may have previously shown little interest in.

That's why we've developed many of the same printables in different themes, like:

You can find all our printables here: https://themontessoriroom.com/pages/free-montessori-printables

When you make activities meaningful to your child, based on THEIR interests, it will make a big difference in their learning and their love of learning.

That’s what teachers are always trying to do. They consider "how can I connect the child to the work?"

The answer is usually to make it meaningful.

What Does Your Child Find Meaningful?
