Holztiger
Holztiger makes lovely wooden animals, perfect for hours of imaginative play.
The animal shapes and finishes are deliberately simple to better stimulate children's imaginations.
After each figure is carefully cut and sanded by hand, it is coloured with water-based, non-toxic stains and finishes that allow the beauty of the wood grain to show through. The wood is sustainably-harvested maple and beech wood, making them not only safe for children, but also the environment.
In 2012, over 100 different Holztiger figures were given the “Spiel Gut” seal by a team consisting of parents, educationalists, psychologists, doctors, technicians, and experts in design, chemistry and electronics.
The decision to give Holztiger animals this seal is based on their play value, materials, workmanship, construction, durability, and safety.
