Our most popular printables are the "I spy" language mats.

I think because they're great for so many ages:
  • Ages 1-2 - use them for colour recognition and sorting (i.e. find the items that you can eat)

  • Ages 3-4 - use them to develop language skills and logic (i.e. find the items you would see at the beach or wear on a hot day)

  • Ages 4-5 - use them for letter recognition and to develop phonic awareness

They're also great for travel, at restaurants, or whenever you need to patiently wait somewhere.

I've created 5 new ones this week, each with 4 challenges.

How To Use Language Mats

For younger children, work with them and encourage them to point to the correct items.

For older children, encourage them to use a marker or crayon to circle the items, which helps develop their hand strength.
