Wooden Rings (Set of 2)

In Stock At Our Store In Toronto (2229 Danforth Ave.)

5 items left

Wooden rings are great for sensorial exploration. The infant can explore different aspects of the wood, including texture, temperature, smell, weight, etc. using both their hands and mouths.

They're great for developing the hand(s) and can be used in multiple ways throughout infancy:

  • Hold a ring close to the infant's hand and they will instinctively grasp it. At approximately 5 months of age, the infant will begin to reach for it on their own as their grasp becomes more intentional.
  • Once they lose interest in exploring an individual ring, tie the two rings together with a strong cord. Doing so will enrich the infant's exploration and invite them to manipulate the rings with both hands.
  • Securely hang one of the rings from an elasticized cord (a regular cord works too!) at a height where the infant is able to reach for, grasp and explore the ring while lying on their back. If using an elasticized cord, the ring will bounce when the child releases it and invite exploration of cause and effect while also developing visual tracking skills.

They also make excellent all-natural teethers!

Includes: 2 rings, both with a measuring 2-1/4" diamater.

Made in North America from Maple wood.
