Share This With Your Child's Teacher!

A visual schedule can be a really helpful tool in the classroom, especially at this time of year.

As school is wrapping up, children are often more dysregulated because:

  • there's new activities - i.e. field-trips, assemblies, etc
  • the weather is nicer and children are more active
  • everyone is anticipating summer break

Visual classroom schedules are a great way to keep everyone more calm and focused.

They help to:

  • Strengthens a child’s sense of security, i.e they know what the expect and when

  • Support regulation and makes it easier for them to learn and engage

  • Support smoother transitions by helping children anticipate what is coming next, reducing uncertainty during changes in activity

  • Encourage independence, as children learn to check the schedule themselves

So if you feel like your child's teacher could use a little extra support this time of year, or at the start of the next school year, share this with them >>> Click here to download the Daily School Schedule.

The Montessori Versus Public School Curriculum

The schedule includes the list of subjects for most public and Montessori schools so feel free to share with teachers using either curriculum.

Teachers can print/laminate only the ones that are applicable to their classroom.

A Visual Schedule For The Home

We also have FREE Printable Routine Cards you can use to create a visual schedule at home.

Put the schedule in a place where your family can review it together every morning.

To make the visual schedule even more meaningful, you can make your own using photographs of your child doing their everyday routines and activities. Click here for the template in Canva.

This helps children recognize themselves in the routine and better understand what each part of the day looks like.
