Thinking about preparing for the plane?
Long stretches in confined spaces can be a challenge.
Here is our list of the top 10 games and activities for children travelling on a plane, based on popularity.
Make sure to check the age recommendation included to make sure they are right for you.
1. Yoto Player
Love the Yoto Mini so much we got two, one for each of my kids. We do a lot of road trips to visit family but they're also great for planes because it's so small.
Children can use it independently. You simply insert the cards (about the size of a credit card) to access audiobooks and songs.
Check out our growing collection of activity books for older children and busy books for preschool aged children and below. Recommended for ages 18 months and up.
Magic Colouring Sets are a mess-free, travel-friendly colouring activity where children use a water-filled brush to reveal hidden pictures on reusable pages. Recommended for ages 18 months and up.
Magnetic Mazes are great because it's an activity pad with no pieces to lose. Children use a magnetic wand to guide beads through different paths and challenges. Recommended for ages 18 months and up.
5. Card Games
Card games are not only great for the plane, but they're also handy to have at the destination - out for meals, while waiting for transit, etc. We've got a big collection for a range of ages.
6. MAGNA-TILES® microMAGS Travel Sets
These Travel Sets are a compact version of the classic Magna-Tiles, with smaller pieces in a carrying case. Recommended for ages 3 years and up.
7. Fidgets
Quiet fidgets are great for older kids, especially when you're requring a little extra patience - waiting to board, waiting to de-plane, shuttles, etc. We have a lot of options and you can filter by age.
Choose from a bunch of different themes. Use the magnets to create pictures or make your own design. The magnetic pieces stay contained inside the book, making it easy to use during travel. Recommended for ages 3 years and up.
9. Colour Doodle Erasable Tablet
The Colour Doodle Erasable Tablet lets you sketch, write, and erase with just a button click. It’s a simple doodling and writing tool with no games or Wi-Fi and it's no-mess. Recommended for ages 4 years and up.
Basically a fidget for 12 months+. The tiles can be used on their own or with a board, and they offer a range of tactile, cause-and-effect style play with no loose pieces.
