1. The Munari Mobile
In the weeks and months following birth, newborns and infants are only able to see black and white with shades of grey.
The Munari Mobile is introduced from birth and is the first in the Visual Mobile Series. It's black and white geometric shapes and glass sphere, which reflects light, enraptures the infant, without being overwhelming or overstimulating.
The infant's eye tracks the movement of these elements, which strengthens the muscles in the eye and helps stimulate concentration, focus and attention.
2. The Green Gobbi Mobile
The Gobbi Mobile is the second in the Visual Mobile Series.
At approximately 3-5 months, your infant can see the full colour spectrum, which is why a mobile with colour is introduced around this time.
The Gobbi Mobile is made up of 5 spheres in graduated shades of one colour to stimulate the visual sense and introduce colour gradation.
The Gobbi Mobile helps infants develop their visual discrimination and visual tracking skills, strengthens the muscles in the eyes, neck, arms and core, and develops concentration and focus.
3. The Octahedron Mobile
The Octahedron Mobile is the third in the Montessori Visual Mobile Series.
As an infant's vision continues to develop, this mobile introduces 2 new visual stimulants - the 3 primary colours (red, yellow, blue) and 3-dimensional geometric shapes.
Each octahedron is made of metallic paper, which catches and reflects light and attracts baby's attention. The primary colours are contrasting enough that the child can perceive their differences. It is very lightweight and creates gentle movement that helps with visual tracking skills.
This mobile helps to strengthen the muscles in the eyes, limbs and core, as well as develops concentration and focus.
4. The Dancers Mobile
The Dancers Mobile is the fourth in the Visual Mobile Series. It consists of 4 human figures that appear to dance when the mobile is in motion. The dancers are made from iridescent, holographic paper, which shine and sparkle in the light.
This is a very captivating mobile and helps to build an infant's focus, concentration and depth perception, as well as, visual tracking skills.
***Please note these mobiles are not a toys. They are meant to be observed, not grasped. Each mobile should be hung at 30 cm distance from the child's eyes. Adult supervision is always required.***
