This beautiful wooden Counting Board is similar to a Montessori Hundred Board; a key mathematics material used for teaching the number sequence from 1 to 100. The difference between our Counting Board and the Hundred Board is in the loose parts.
The Hundred Board uses numbered tiles, to be placed in order from 1 to 100, rather than plain felt balls. Just add numbers to the balls to use it as a Hundred Board.
Our Counting Board allows for more open-ended exploration.
With the board and felt balls you can:
- Develop and refine the pincer grip when removing and replacing the felt balls.
- Sort colours and create patterns.
- Count, add and subtract.
- Get creative and use the balls to make letters, numbers or shapes on the board.
Includes a board and 100 felt pompoms that are 2cm in diameter.
