Arch Climber
Great question!
The 'Sensitive Period for Movement' is from ages 0-4.
Montessori defines a sensitive period as a time when a child is deeply interested in a specific subject. This makes it easy for the child to acquire certain skills related to this interest.
Through interest and repetition of certain actions, a new skill emerges.
In the 'Sensitive Period for Movement', it's best to give your child as many movement activities as possible.
Our Arch Climber satisfies this need for movement and learning in so many ways.
Between the ages 0-2.5, a child learns:
How to grasp the rungs
How to climb forwards and backwards
How to coordinate movement between the arms and legs
How to balance while climbing
Between the ages of 2.5-4, a child:
Refines coordination of movements
Explores different ways of using the Arch, including more imaginative play
Develops problem solving skills
Develops the connection between the brain and the body
Now you can bundle two of our wonderful climbers, the Arch Climber and the Montessori Climbing Triangle, and save.
This bundle is so great because the double-sided ramps connects the arch and triangle so well. Use it as a bridge, tunnel, and mini jungle gym.
This is a great set for our long winters.
It allows your child to continue working on gross motor development throughout the year.

"My granddaughters are enjoying climbing and playing on the Waldorf Rocker either way you flip it. Pepe says, assembly was easy. Daddy says, there’s a lot of climbing going on. Shopping online for it was easy and delivered in time for Christmas. Good value for hours of quality playtime. Looking forward to shopping for the upcoming birthdays."

The Arch Climber is a small but mighty addition to our site. I think some people overlook it because it's smaller than the triangle but it's just as challenging, if not more so.
The tricky part of the Climbing Triangle is the top, getting over to the other side. There's a lot of coordination and concentration to figure out where all the body parts go.
The Arch Climber has a wider area to climb over and it's closer to the ground, so you have to start navigating the arch right away.
Plus, it makes a good foot rest in the living room 😀
No need to worry about structural stability or harmful chemicals used in our climbers.
All of them are made right here in Canada, with Canadian safety standards in place.
The price is sometimes a little higher but well worth the peace of mind.
Dimensions of the arch climber: ~ 32”W x 30”L x 24”H
Dimensions of the ramp: ~ 15"W x 42"L
Please note there is sometimes variations in the exact thickness of the wood used, so measurements are approximate. If you have any questions or concerns about the measurements and whether or not this will fit into a specific area, please call us before purchasing.
Note that the ramp is double-sided with triangle grips on one side and smooth on the other, like a slide.
Our climbers satisfy the urge to climb but in a safe and controlled way.
While playgrounds are designed for children ages 5+ and often crowded and your furniture isn't meant for gymnastics, these climbers just the right size and challenge for toddlers.
Please note that while it's used to encourage independent movement, they will still need constant supervision.
The Arch Climber is great for ages 1+. It works well as a pull up bar for even young children and is great for imaginative play with older children.
There is no finish on natural arch and the rainbow is finished with water-based, acrylic paint.
Yes! You just can't leave it outside in the rain or snow (it can't get wet).
We recommend putting it in the grass or on rubber foam tiles.
It's shipped disassembled but can easily be assembly in 10 minutes with just a phillips head screwdriver. We've never had a customer that couldn't assemble the arch climber!
