Small Wooden Rattle with Caged Ball

This style of wooden rattle (also referred to as Cylinder with Ball) is used in Montessori Infant classrooms to aid in the development of the grasp and stimulate the auditory sense.  As the infant grows, the wooden rattle will help to develop gross motor skills by inviting movement when it rolls away. 

Measuring approximately 7 cm in diameter and lightweight enough (0.08 lbs) for a young infant to hold on their own, this is a perfect "first" rattle.  

Made from untreated beechwood and safe to be explored with all of the senses.
